Many years ago, I launched a website outlining my self-treatment programs. There are three stages, all three were well documented.
I also participated in many user groups and Facebook pages for pancreatitis support.
I was so disillusioned by the process that I gave up the website and any participation in support groups.
I am starting this blog, on a more limited basis, because my self-treatment works. I have now been pain free, 99.99% pain free, since January 26 2012. At this writing, this is more than 9 1/2 years. Not only does it work, but it is based on a commonly available natural ingredient that is inexpensive. By inexpensive, I mean it costs less than 1 cent per day to totally manage your pain. Not only is it inexpensive, but it is readily available. I once had the twinges of pain coming on while in a restaurant – the restaurant had this ingredient on hand and I was back pain-free with no twinges in less than 5 seconds.
While this hard line then? Why tell people to go away?
It's really simple. I don't care what caused my pancreatitis, or yours. I really don't. I have "chronic pancreatitis" and it is uncurable. It can only get worse, so pain management is the only thing to focus on. I understand it may be important to you if you have "acute pancreatitis" - so, trust your doctor to investigate the cause and recommend treatment.
I also take a hard line on those self-diagnosing. If you have been diagnosed with "acute pancreatitis" and you think yours may be "chronic pancreatitis" – you need to get your head examined. Seriously. If you don't trust your doctor, find another doctor. Treating yourself for "chronic pancreatitis" when you have "acute pancreatitis" is a huge mistake. There are more serious and immediate dangers to acute pancreatitis, mistreating this on your own could be a death warrant. So do yourself a favour, shut down this website and evaluate whether or not you need more or better medical advice. When I participated in pancreatitis support forums, I monitored the conversations of a young lady. At 21 years of age, she was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. In the support forums, she asked how she could get a dignosis of chronic pancreatitis so she could have her pancreas removed and have the pain go away. A lot of people gave her recommendations, suggestions, and even named doctors that would help her get that chronic pancreatitis diagnosis. And she did. She then had a total pancreatectomy. The pain did not go away. And she died less than one year later. It was all the wrong thing to do, the wrong support.
Last, I take a hard line on the leeches that have taken my self-treatment programs and labelled it as their own. I have seen commercial products with exactly my treatment programs offered at ludicrous profits. I give this freely and take exception to the thieves that want to profit from this disease and scam you.
Now, if you are offended that I have told some to Go Away! ... then please Go Away!
